Large Conifer Tree Dismantled in Stony Stratford Milton Keynes.

We were called out to safely dismantle a large mature conifer that was towering above a garden space in close proximity to multiple sheds, ornaments, fencing, and garden features.

Due to its height and the surrounding layout, traditional felling methods weren’t an option. Instead, we employed a zip line rigging technique, an advanced arboricultural method used to lower branches and stem sections safely without causing damage to the surrounding property.

The Tree Dismantling Challenge

The tree was situated in a tight residential garden area with limited space for branch and timber drop zones. The job required:

• Precise coordination to protect sheds and landscaping features
• Safe sectional dismantling of a tall conifer
• Efficient movement of heavy sections to the ground with zero damage

Zip Line Tree Dismantling

Our team rigged up a controlled zip line system from the tree to an anchor point, allowing us to lower cut limbs and sections of the trunk along a guided line. This method offered:

– Safe navigation over garden structures
– Minimal ground impact
– Efficient control over heavy timber movement

As seen in the photos, our arborist worked at height using professional climbing gear to dismantle the conifer bit by bit, while our ground team managed rope systems, chainsaws, and clear-up duties.

Conifer Tree Dismantled

• The entire tree was successfully dismantled without causing any damage to surrounding property.
• All green waste was processed and removed from site.
• The area was left clean, tidy, and ready for the next phase of the client’s garden plans.

Our client was thrilled with both the speed and precision of the job – and impressed with the use of advanced rigging techniques to keep their garden safe and intact.
